Overview

Currently, we support two different options to deploy the LEAP VPN stack:

Lilypad is our long-term supported deployment method, based on ↗ float, an Ansible-based container-orchestration framework developed by ↗ autistici/inventati. It is designed to be less complex to maintain than classic Kubernetes clusters. It is a more niche solution though and you’ll need to wrap your head around it.

Podlily is the choice if you prefer managing web services with Kubernetes and Terraform. It is tailored to set up and run ↗ k3s clusters. Podlily is a new project and already provides all the necessary components to set up a small VPN stack. However, it still lacks some features that Lilypad offers. We’re actively working towards feature parity.
